Rooted in Tradition: How Four Generations Have Shaped Infinity Drain
At Infinity DrainⓇ, our commitment to American manufacturing, innovation and community is rooted in more than a century of family history. As we celebrate National Kitchen & Bath Month, we’re reflecting on the family legacy and industry expertise that have shaped our approach to creating innovative architectural drainage solutions.

Founder and President Jonathan Brill is a fourth-generation entrepreneur whose great-grandfather, Samuel Stuchiner, purchased Simon’s Hardware, a prominent Manhattan plumbing supply and housewares shop, in the 1930s.
Simon’s Hardware served Manhattan’s furniture trade with tools, adhesives, fasteners and decorative hardware. The multigenerational family business eventually included Jonathan’s father, Philip Brill, who was born in the apartment above the shop in 1942. After almost fifty years serving the greater New York market, the Brill family sold their share of the business and Philip went on to establish Phil Brill & Associates in 1981. Jonathan joined his father in 1996, kicking off a sales career in the decorative plumbing and hardware industry.

From Opportunity to Industry Leader
In 2008, following his father’s retirement, Jonathan struck out on his own and founded Infinity Drain in Port Washington, New York. With just three employees, we introduced the first linear tile-in drain in the United States, bringing new design possibilities to architectural drainage.
Innovation has remained at the heart of our growth, from extensive grate styles and premium finishes, to our groundbreaking Site Sizable® Linear Drain, which ensures a flawless wall-to-wall fit and our Stainless Steel Shower Base backed by a lifetime guarantee against waterproofing failure. We continue to redefine architectural drainage with design-forward offerings like Adhesion, developed with Gensler, and the first-of-its-kind Disco-rectangle contoured edge tile in linear drain. We’re also committed to enhancing the drainage experience with game-changing solutions to keep drains clean and clog-free as well as extensive waterproofing options including Schluter®-KERDI Compliant Drains and adapters for seamless installations.

Proudly Made in the USA
In 2015, we moved from Port Washington to a 45,000-square-foot facility in Amityville, New York, bringing engineering, manufacturing and craftsmanship under one roof. American manufacturing remains central to our philosophy, with 95% of our materials sourced domestically, including American-made stainless steel with an average of 95% recycled content.
In 2020, we deepened our commitment to the Amityville community, launching Mission Belly Full. Operating from our headquarters and facility, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization has proudly prepared and served more than 115,000 meals to date.
Looking Ahead
From the legacy of Simon’s Hardware to our reputation as the leading architectural drainage manufacturer, our story is one of family, innovation and a commitment to doing things differently. We exist to elevate the human experience through our architectural drainage solutions and by caring for our community.
As we renovate our Amityville headquarters and prepare to open a new Infinity Drain Experience Center, we’re continuing to build on the history that brought us here, while looking toward what’s next.
