Famed for its ultra-luxurious aesthetic and elegant design modeled after the Italian town of Lake Como, the Bellagio Resort has become the quintessential destination for those seeking the most extravagant experience during their time in Las Vegas, Nevada.

First opening its doors in 1998, Bellagio was conceived with the notion of elevating the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas thanks to its opulent amenities that include five alluring pools, sixteen delicious restaurants, world-famous casino floor, art gallery and much more.
Poised to enhance the luxurious hospitality of “Sin City” once again, Bellagio is refreshing its guestrooms with a design concept that lends a nod to the hotel’s most iconic feature, the Fountains of Bellagio.

Crafted by Chicago-based award-winning interior design firm The Gettys Group in partnership with MGM Resorts International Design Group, the design scheme will highlight nuances of nature and light throughout the rooms.
“When tasked with redesigning the guest rooms for such an iconic resort, we wanted the designs to transcend cultures and speak to an international audience,” states Ben Nicholas, senior principal at The Gettys Group. “We took inspiration from water, which is synonymous with Bellagio, and blended in elements of light and nature, to create spaces that make guests feel at home.”

Rounding out the elevated guestroom experience is a redesigned bathroom outfitted with a show-stopping walk-in shower. With water standing out as the prevalent design element of the rooms, it’s no wonder the design team opted for stunning oversized showers to take the place of traditional bathtubs.

To ensure these custom-designed showers had a sturdy drainage system, The Gettys Group turned to Infinity Drain to outfit each of the 2,568 guest bathrooms.
While Infinity Drain’s TD 15 5”x5” Tile-In center drains were the original product specified for the showers, the construction team found there were components of the drainage throat that were deemed unnecessary to complete the installation of the showers. To provide maximum water management, Infinity Drain crafted a tailor-made solution to maintain the appropriate water flow rate and drainage needed.
Once the architectural arrangement for the shower was settled, the team completed the design plan of all bathrooms by selecting a sleek array of natural stones for the surfaces of the walls, floors and countertops as well as a dual sink vanity and high-end fixtures and finishes.
Bellagio’s room remodel will continue through the summer of 2021 with the first collection of rooms available for guest stays beginning in April.
